The artwork of Barry Callahan captures both energy and passion. Although he received his first art award at the age of 7, Callahan’s work did not take shape until his first year in High School. It’s there when he was introduced to the Punk Rock scene and discovered his love for painting & art . Though he eventually left the punk scene, he took with him the heart and energy that derives from such a lively world.Callahan soon began work as a full-time artist at the age of 22.It was his aim to capture energy through the paintbrush.
In 2005 Callahan was born again. This reshaped the entire focus of his art. Still keeping the energy from punk rock and now hoping to visually capture the joy from salvation of Jesus Christ, a whole new world opened for him. His work has been shown, internationally sold, and awarded in multiple exhibits, galleries, websites, magizines, and museums. Currently,Callahan continues his work in the arts. He resides in Central Illinois with his family.
